If you notice that your balance is not what it used to be, you’re going to love this EVIDENCE-BASED COURSE!

Based on a research study designed by PTs through the School of Rehabilitation Science at the University of Saskatchewan, this yoga intervention demonstrated improvements in strength, balance, and confidence for peri- and post-menopausal women, as well as in quality of life and healthy aging.

All people, including men, are welcome to this new series. Healthcare and yoga professionals addressing falls prevention will find this course beneficial as well as fun!

These classes incorporate a meditative approach, and are informed by the yamas and niyamas, the ethical principles of yoga. Movement/asana emphasize transitions up and down from the floor, with props including the wall and a chair. We will cultivate self-awareness to self-compassion through these practices.
